NIGHT FILM STILL

Both the post title and the inspiration for the photo are to be found in Untitled Film Still No.5 (1978), one of the many self-portraits made by the great photographer Cindy Sherman.

INDIGNADOS

In Spain there is a strong movement to protest about the abuses of economic and political power. It was particularly intense and visible during May 2011; in many cities there were people staying day and night in central squares of the cities, organizing activities and asking for changes in our society. I show four photographies of people in Puerta del Sol in Madrid.

IN THE MANNER OF CHEMA MADOZ

I have discovered the works by Chema Madoz, where usual objects acquire unusual, sometimes Surrealistic, aspects. I shot two photographies inspired by his work, actually using his book Obras maestras.

SELF-PORTRAITS AS A CORPSE

Dead for the country
(Mort per la pàtria)

Dead as a swimmer
(Mort com a nadador)

Dead as a clown
(Mort com a un pallàs)

Finally resurrected
(Finalment ressucitat)

Fools' day is probably the ideal day to post my photographies about different ways to die. I try to make death a bit less transcendent.

L'1 d'abril és el dia dels innocents a França, Itàlia, Anglaterra, etc. He pensat que és un bon dia per penjar les meves fotos sobre diferents maneres de morir. Miro de fer la mort una mica menys trascendent.
